Well-being Wednesdays
Well-being Wednesdays are hugely important in our Alexandra Care Home. Every Wednesday, our activities coordinator, Ian Bradshaw, dresses up with a new idea to entertain our residents and staff. For example, to mark the launch of Top Gun: Maverick. Ian, decided to dress up as Tom Cruise (a better-looking version we think 😊). Instead of flying an f-14 Tomcat, Ian, aka Tom, cruised around the building on an ice-cream trolley, serenading residents and handing them cones of their preferred choice of ice-cream. Sprinkles and a delicious selection of toppings meant the day took off in fine style.
At Bayswood we understand that our residents’ mental and physical well-being is intrinsically linked. Each of our care units employs a full-time Activities Co-Ordinator to keep residents engaged, active, entertained, and happy. For more Well-being fun, check out the AlexandraCarHome Facebook page.
Ian certainly never loses that loving feeling when it comes to our residents, continually finding new ideas and events to keep them smiling. Onwards and upwards heh Ian, er, Tom!? 😉
