The Art of Resin

From time to time we have the lovely Janet coming into Park View to run an afternoon on resin craft making. Janet  starts by giving us an insight of how resin arts work and how the process is carried out. Within minutes we found many residents were fully engaged by the activity and eager to participate.

Bookmarks, earrings, necklaces and key rings where the designs de jour, with residents putting their own personality into the designs. Janet also had a lovely stall table from which we could purchase any products she had brought with her.

Once residents had finished their own designs, Janet helped with the fiddly detail – like fixing hooks and chains. The residents and staff were kindly presented with their finished products which were gifted wrapped with their names on. Janet also presented Park View with our very own resin picture plaque for us to hang up. Our maintenance guys hung the plaque immediately so Janet could see it in situ.

Janet is an amazing teacher, host and exceptionally skilled at what she does. I’m sure she will be back soon with Christmas around the corner.
